Manchester City delivered a dominant performance

Manchester City delivered a dominant performance as an Eric Bailly own goal and a Bernardo Silva strike earned them a 2-0 victory over Manchester United in the Manchester derby on Saturday.

City's dominance

City were in control from the start and took the lead in the seventh minute when Bailly inadvertently turned the ball into his own net. Silva doubled the lead in the 54th minute with a fine finish from the edge of the area.

United offered little in response and City could have won by a bigger margin had they not been wasteful in front of goal.

The win sees City move five points clear of United at the top of the Premier League table. It was their fourth successive victory in the derby and their eighth in the last nine meetings between the two sides.
